Billy Blackwood Ministries NEWS

My latest mission trip was to Guayaquil, Ecuador with my friend Wayne Hilton and the ministry of Musico a Musico. The Musico a Musico Worshipping Arts Congreso was hosted by Guayaquil Norte Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Guayaquil, a city of 3,000,000 near the Pacific Coast. 130 students from Ecuador and neighboring South American countries participated in the Congreso. These students were worship leaders or worshipping arts team members from their local churches.

In addition to a full slate of classes in vocal and instrument instruction, there were classes in music theory, choirs, band rehearsals; any and everything pertaining to strengthening the worship of the local church.

I played drums with the worship team and taught drum instruction and songwriting classes. The pictures are of our songwriting class performing a song we wrote in class called, "La Cancion De Mi Corazon" (The Song Of My Heart). My Spanish is limited and I can't translate all the lyrics, but the anointing is multilingual!

Every evening the community as well as the students were invited to a worship celebration at Guayaquil Norte.  This grew every night until the crowd overflowed the open air building well into the parking area. The presence of God was awesome!

Personal testimony and teaching on the theology of worship also permeated the assemblies. I fully believe that most, if not all, of the students attending are better equipped to lead their respective congregations into a deeper awareness of God’s presence and to do so with greater proficiency and efficiency. Praise God!
